Morning is my favorite moment of the day, I prepare a consistent breakfast fast, get on the agenda, and my day will be a great one! Today I offer you a delicious recipe: Crazy Cherry Smoothie Bowl .
METHOD: Add all the ingredients of the smoothie base into a blender and mix until smooth. Pour the mix to a bowl and top with the toppings of your choice.
SMOOTHIE BASE: 1 cup frozen cherries, 2 frozen bananas , 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder, 240ml / 1 cup almond milk, 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract, 1 cup ice, 1 tbsp. maple syrup
TOPPINGS:1 fresh banana, 2 tbsp. cocoa nibs,2 tbsp. granola, 2 tbsp. almond butter, 1 tbsp. mulberries, 1 tsp. shredded coconut, 1 tbsp. fresh blueberries
Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, one the largest international philanthropic campaigns, initiated by the Estee Lauder Company, is dedicating the month of October to this cause.

According to a study by Globocan made in 2012, every 19 seconds, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. My mother received this ruthless diagnosis. We fought together, we tried to be strong, to overcome this difficult illness, but unfortunately my mother lost this battle. Although I lost the dearest person in my life, I will continue to fight, I will engage with determination and seriousness in the campaign of informing and supporting people who are going through these dark moments and despair.
Know that you are not alone! `I lost a fight, but I will not stop, only together we will be able to fight and in the end we shall win!

Chia seed pudding one of the tastiest ways for your daily diet. To make nearly of the recipe below, you just need to put in a bowl and mix together the chia seeds, milk, maple syrup and vanilla. Once the chia pudding mixture is well incorporated, let it sit for 5 minutes.
After, give it another stir to avoid any clumps of chia seeds, cover and put the mixture in the fridge to “set-up” for at least 1-2 hours. When ready to serve, divide the mixture between two bowls, and top the pudding with berries of your choice.

Why does failure exist in our lives so many times? What is the reason behind our sufferings? Im sure you've heard these questions before and have surely passed through your mind multiple times in your life. I've been through defeats, I've lost days, nights, energy, hopes, dreams, I've lost people I love...My soul has been ripped into shreds, and I've cried, blaming others, myself and the universe. I was angry, shouting as loud as possible, trying to make my injustice heard, my helplessness, my misunderstandings...
I didn't understand what was happening. Why me, why is it always me? On how many doors do I have to knock, how many NO'S am I supposed to get, how many defiant looks do I have to accept...Those were my thoughts then...
Ever since I've given up on eating animal-based foods and have transitioned to eating a plant-based vegan diet, many people have asked me similar questions; "Giulia, do you eat just salads?"
And my answer to this is, "No, I do not eat just salads, there are many plant-based recipes that are so delicious and super-satisfying." Its amazing to find new recipes and creating creative combinations that you know are really good for your body and are not harmful for the environment.
And throughout these years, I've created some amazing recipes that have helped me lose and maintain my weight, give me energy and to feel like I'm really eating delicious foods. I don't feel deprived and I know that everything that I eat is healthy for my body.

Maybe some of you might be asking yourselves how I began my Yoga & Self-enlightning "SOULSPARK" journey? You might be thinking to yourselves that you'd like to start meditating because its something that sounds "cool" or "fashionable" that you'd like to do, but just simply can't. Maybe its the lack of knowledge and understanding of the subject or simply feel that you are not ready for a spiritual journey.
First lets define what Yoga is, and I'm not talking about the physical postures ( they are called asanas). The classical Yoga is an act of self-realisation.
When the fluctuations of the mind have been stilled and you no longer identify with the remaining fluctuations of your mind.
Yoga is a state, a way of life. Why am I telling you all this? Because that is how I feel it. Yoga changed my life and has helped me overcome many difficult moments that has come my way. It has given me the balance to become internally powerful and move forward with depth, understanding and detachment from past situations.
It hasn't been easy, because true profound meditation is not a game, or just another thing that you should be doing. I have to admit that becoming connected to my higher self was not easy and a real internal war existed because the Ego does not sleep and does not want to let go of its control over your mind. Its always there in your mind and wants to know everything! The EGO needs conflict, because it feeds off that feeling and needs as much of it as possible.
And that's how the 'internal' war began. Whenever I would begin to mediate, the Ego was also present. As much as I wanted to concentrate and to connect to my consciousness, He would appear with a hundred negative ideas, which would invade, interrupt, and make me lose focus...until I would give up. I would get back to "my happy daily urban life". And He would win every time.
It was not until I understood that the Ego loves drama and conflict ( and Giulia loves drama too, she's an actress right) , although I wanted to be in a state of happiness, joy, and love...I would end up in an unhappy, anxious, self-pity state. Why? Because the ego longs for unhappiness. He always criticises and is very difficult to please.
Once I understood to shift from identifying with my thoughts to observing my thoughts, that I could truly meditate. I would separate HIM ( the Ego) from me, ignoring his desperate wishes for conflict without any regret.
He does show up once in a while and I do give him the respect he deserves, for he is the powerful creation of our mind. So We've got to give him some credit, right?
As a final note, remember that the Ego is not who you are. It is merely a fabrication of your 'Inner lab' which is constantly manufacturing new thoughts of anxiety, depression, fear, and all the negative emotions that arise.
Once you will no longer be 'trapped' in your own mind that you will find yourself in pure consciousness and be able the practice of Yoga.
